Many bloggers use advertisements in their blogs, whether it be from Adsense, Adbrite, or Chitika. Sometimes it can be difficult finding the best ad position in the blog to make money. I'll explain a few basic tips on how to position your ads so that you get the most out of your earnings.

1. Step 1

   Place your advertisement block above the fold. That is, place those blog ads where everyone can see them immediately when they visit the page before they begin to scroll down. If you have advertisements above the fold, an ad title may catch the eye of some visitors who haven't yet found what they're looking for.

2. Step 2

   Put your advertisements on page hot spots. These hot spots include directly above the main content, to the left of the main content, below the top navigation bar, the top of the left sidebar, and above the page footer. Most visitors will look at these spots when they visit your website, so it would be best to let them feast their eyes on some possible ads to click.

3. Step 3

   Place an advertisement block in the body of your main content. Usually bloggers put this ad block right below the title of their blog post. However, if you do this, make sure the ad stands out or else visitors might mistake the ad for the content.
